Understanding ISO 20345, 20346 & 20347 standards

The following elements are taken into account to determinate the shoes standards:

Water resistant upper or entire shoe water resistance.

Penetration resistant midsole with a static strength of 1100 Newtons.

100 joules impact resistant toe cap.

200 joules impact resistant toe cap.

A 200 joules energy corresponds to the energy created by a 1 meter fall of a 20 kg object.
A 1100 newtons corresponds to the strength of a 95 kg person walking on a nail.
